Canada permits international students to work part-time while studying. You can work up to 20 hours per week during school days and 30 hours per week during holidays and vacation periods. After completing your education, you can stay back in the country to kick start your career by applying for a post-study work permit (PSWP). The duration of your PSWP will depend on your course's length and can be as long as 3 years. You can also apply for a work permit or permanent residence before the end of your PSWP to stay back further.
